These terms govern your use of HomeAid Monitor and the HomeAid Solutions website. Please read them carefully. By installing, opening, or using HomeAid Monitor, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who we are

HomeAid Monitor is developed and operated by HomeAid Solutions ("we", "us", "our"). For questions about these terms, contact support@homeaid.solutions.

2. What HomeAid Monitor is

HomeAid Monitor is a personal health logging and organisation tool. It helps individuals record and review information such as health readings, medications, appointments, lab results, and related personal notes, primarily for their own reference or to share with their own healthcare providers.

HomeAid Monitor is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease or condition in a medical sense. It does not replace professional medical advice, consultation, diagnosis, or treatment. Any reminders or informational features within the app are for personal convenience only and must not be relied upon for medical decisions.

3. Medical disclaimer

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional for any questions you may have about a medical condition, medication, treatment, or dietary matter. Never delay seeking medical advice, disregard medical advice, or discontinue medical treatment because of information provided by this app.

In the event of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not use HomeAid Monitor as a means of obtaining emergency medical help.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Any information you enter into the app, including its accuracy
  • Keeping your own backups of data that matters to you, using the app's export features
  • Decisions you make about your health, which should always be made with qualified professional input
  • Using the app only for lawful personal or household purposes
  • Keeping the device on which the app is installed secure, since your data is stored locally on it

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age applicable in your country, whichever is higher) to use this app. HomeAid Monitor is not intended for use by children.

5. Data storage and loss

HomeAid Monitor stores your data locally on your device. We do not hold a copy of your data on our servers. This design protects your privacy, but it also means:

  • If you delete the app, reset your device, or lose your device, any data not previously exported will be lost and cannot be recovered by us
  • We cannot restore your data for you
  • We cannot transfer your data between devices except through the app's own backup and restore features

You are solely responsible for regular backups using the app's export features.

6. Purchases, Premium features, and refunds

HomeAid Monitor is free to install. Optional Premium features may be unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase managed through your app store (currently Google Play).

All purchases are processed by the relevant app store, which holds your payment details. We do not store payment card information. Refund requests are handled by the app store under its own refund policy. We may, at our discretion, offer goodwill refunds for specific circumstances through direct contact, but we are under no obligation to do so outside the app store's stated refund process.

Where you purchase Premium features as a one-time unlock, those features remain available to you on your device, subject to reasonable ongoing development, bug fixes, and compatibility updates. Features included in Free or Premium at the time of your purchase will not be moved to a paid or higher-tier model later — what you have, you keep.

We reserve the right to introduce additional features in future versions of the app, which may be offered as new optional purchases or as part of a separate optional tier. Any such new tier would be entirely optional and would not be required for you to continue using the app and the features you already have.

7. Third-party services

Purchases are processed by app stores and payment entitlements are managed through RevenueCat. Their terms apply to those parts of the experience.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app except to the extent permitted by law
  • Attempt to breach security, tamper with data, or interfere with the app's operation
  • Use automated means to access or scrape the app's services
  • Re-distribute the app or any Premium-unlocked version of the app

9. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the app, including its code, design, branding, logos, and content, belong to HomeAid Solutions unless otherwise indicated. These terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property beyond the right to use the app as intended.

Any content you create in the app (your health logs, your notes, your exports) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your personal data.

10. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update, improve, modify, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you, for example through an in-app notice or an update to the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue your access to the app if you breach these terms, if we discontinue the product, or if required by law. On termination, the disclaimers, limitations of liability, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, will survive.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HomeAid Solutions shall not be liable for:

  • Any medical, health, financial, or other decision made wholly or partly on the basis of information from the app
  • Loss of data, including through device failure, app uninstallation, or user error
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app
  • Acts or omissions of third-party services that the app interacts with

Where liability cannot be excluded by law (including, for consumers in the European Union, rights that cannot be waived), our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the app in the preceding twelve months, or (b) €25.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts in Spain, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that allow you as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

14. Consumer rights (EU / UK)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have rights under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived by these terms. Nothing in these terms is intended to override those rights. This includes, where applicable, rights under the Spanish General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, EU Directives on unfair contract terms and consumer rights in digital content, and equivalent UK consumer protection law.
