Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what HomeAid Monitor collects, what stays on your device, and what choices you have.
1. Who we are
HomeAid Monitor is developed and operated by HomeAid Solutions. For privacy-related questions, contact privacy@homeaid.solutions.
2. Local-first storage
HomeAid Monitor is built around local-first storage. The version of HomeAid Monitor distributed through Google Play does not transmit your health data to any external service.
Depending on how you use the app, the data stored locally on your device may include:
- Health readings such as blood pressure, glucose, weight, pulse and notes
- Medication names, dosages, schedules, reminder settings and adherence records
- Lab results and appointment records
- Fluid intake logs and sleep records
- Memory check scores
- Profile information such as name, date of birth, address, height, doctors, emergency contacts and insurance details
- Conditions, diagnoses and allergens
This information is stored on your device and is not uploaded to HomeAid Solutions servers as part of normal app use.
3. Purchases and payment processing
Premium purchases are managed through the relevant app store (currently Google Play) and entitlement is handled by RevenueCat. HomeAid Solutions does not store your payment card details. Refunds are handled by the app store under its own refund policy.
4. Analytics and crash reporting
HomeAid Monitor does not use third-party behavioural analytics or crash reporting services. No usage telemetry is collected.
5. Permissions
The app may request access to notifications and local storage. Notification permission is used for medication, appointment and log reminders that you choose to set. Local storage is used for your health diary, which stays on your device. Other permissions, if requested, are only used in connection with features you actively choose to use.
6. Security features
HomeAid Monitor offers optional app lock with PIN and biometric authentication. PIN data is held in your device's secure storage area (Android Keystore via expo-secure-store), not in regular app storage. PIN information is not included in JSON backup files and does not transfer to a new device on restore — you re-set the PIN if you reinstall.
7. Backups and exports
If you export data to JSON or CSV, the file is created on your device or shared using the options you select. You are responsible for where you store or send exported files. Backups do not include PIN or biometric data.
8. Data deletion
Because the app stores data locally, you can delete individual records within the app, use the in-app data clearing options, or remove all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its local storage on your device.
9. Website
The HomeAid Solutions website may process limited technical information such as standard web server logs when pages are requested. The website exists primarily to provide product information and policy pages.
10. Children's privacy
HomeAid Monitor is not directed at children under 13. If you believe personal information from a child has been provided through the app, contact us so the issue can be addressed.
11. Future features
HomeAid Monitor is under active development. If future features involve any external service or data transmission that differs from the local-first model described here, this policy will be updated to reflect that, and the changes will be made clear before such features are used.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
13. Medical disclaimer
HomeAid Monitor is a personal health logging tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
